  • The Downs & Weald Rambling Group walk leaders and participants abide by the Countryside Agency’s code for England – The Countryside Code: respect, protect, enjoy. See www.countrysideaccess.gov.uk
  • The online programme details with directions to the start of walks are supplemented by e-mail bulletins to the group membership list. If you are not on our e-mail list but require more information than printed in the programme, please phone the leader.
  • Please wear appropriate footwear on walks, normally walking boots although occasionally sturdy training shoes will also be suitable.
  • Petrol costs in shared cars can be shared by occupants – please be green and friendly and share a car.
  • Please assist your leader by telling them, or someone, if you have to stop or leave during a walk.
  • Some social events and weekend breaks incur costs for which the club requires participants to pay in full in advance.
  • The Downs and Weald Rambling Group and its members accept no responsibility for loss or injuries sustained by participants of events described herein, save that which is covered by any insurance policy currently in force for the membership (a copy can be requested from the Treasurer or viewed on our website).
